CDBG application workshops in Lincoln, Norfolk, Lexington and Ogallala in February

Local government officials and staff, especially application preparers, are encouraged to attend one of four free application workshops in February detailing the 2014 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding process for the CDBG categories of Comprehensive Investment & Stabilization, Comprehensive Revitalization, Downtown Revitalization, Planning, Public Works, Tourism Development, and Water/Wastewater.

Local government officials and staff, especially application preparers, are encouraged to attend one of four free application workshops in February detailing the 2014 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding process for the CDBG categories of Comprehensive Investment & Stabilization, Comprehensive Revitalization, Downtown Revitalization, Planning, Public Works, Tourism Development, and Water/Wastewater.

The application guidelines are up on DED’s website, and a fillable form can be found at http://staging.neded.org/community/grants/applications/training

DED staff will be available the following dates, times and locations:

February 3—Lincoln
2-4:30 pm (CT) State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lower Level, Room D. Call 800-426-6505

February 4—Norfolk
10 am-1 pm (CT) Northeast Community College, 801 E. Benjamin Ave. Call 800-348-9033

February 5—Lexington
1-4 pm (CT): Central Community College, Dawson County Opportunity Center, 1501 Plum Creek Parkway. Call 308-324-8480

February 6—Ogallala
9 am– Noon (MT), Ogallala Extended Campus, Mid-Plains Community College, 512 East B St., South (south of I-80) Call 308-284-9830

Staff will be available for informal discussion following each workshop.

To gauge the number of prospective attendees, registration is encouraged by January 24. A lack of registrants may result in cancellation of a workshop at any given location
