Deb Eggleston has begun work as a business development consultant with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development where she will provide program information and technical assistance to businesses and communities throughout eastern Nebraska. She started the position on December 1.
“I’ll assist communities with business retention and expansion programs and plans, and promote new business development in the region,” Eggleston said.
For the past eight years, Eggleston served as economic development coordinator for the city of Scribner where her work with city officials, area residents and Northeast Nebraska Development District resulted in more than $2 million in projects, including development and construction of the Robert Hunt Family Sports Complex, and Scribner downtown revitalization project, to name a couple.
“I’m excited and proud to work for the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, said Eggleston. “It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals that has just been nationally recognized for being fourth best of the top five state organizations in the United States.”
I’m pleased to be working in the eastern part of the state, a place near and dear to me, and working with developers that I’ve enjoyed getting to know the past eight years,” added Eggleston. “I’m excited to learn even more about programs to assist businesses and the chance to work with even more people and communities. Continuing to learn the economic development field on a broader level will be a great and rewarding challenge.”
She will work from a home office. Contact Deb Eggleston at 402-380-7253, or firstname.lastname@example.org
