SHANGHAI, CHINA – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts recognized and congratulated Werner Enterprises on its 10-year anniversary in China. During his second trade mission to China, Governor Ricketts met with Werner’s Global Vice President Craig Stoffel in Shanghai.
“This anniversary is a an exciting landmark for Werner Enterprises. They are a great example of the numerous Nebraska companies expanding and succeeding on a global scale,” said Governor Ricketts. “Werner has been a great partner to the State of Nebraska and its businesses who operate global supply chains. This is an example of how Nebraska companies make an impact in international markets and connect Nebraska products to the rest of the world. I congratulate them on their 10-year anniversary and wish them continued success.”
Werner entered China’s transportation and logistics market in 2006, when Werner Global Logistics (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. was formed. Throughout the last 10 years, Werner Global Logistics has continually expanded its international logistics operations and today provides freight forwarding and transportation services to its clients in over 130 countries. Specific to China, the company also operates as a trucking company providing services directly to Chinese businesses.
