Nebraska Department of Economic Development staff will conduct Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Re-Certification Training on October 8-11, 2019.
All municipalities and counties that have been awarded CDBG funding must hire and/or employ certified administrators to oversee CDBG projects. Re-certification training is intended for individuals currently administering CDBG projects and assisting with the implementation of these projects. This training is technical in nature, challenging, and helpful, but intended for those persons who plan to continue working frequently on CDBG grants.
Attendees are expected to complete the entire four-day certification training and successfully pass a written exam to become certified. The training will take place at the Nebraska State Office Building - 301 Centennial Mall S, Lincoln, NE 68508, Lower Level Room A. Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m., with training commencing at 9 a.m. each day.
Friday, September 13, 2019 is the last day to register for training.
The registration fee for the full four-day training is $130. If you wish to attend only portions of the training event, each day is $35. Updated manuals are available for an additional $35 fee. The registration fee covers all workshop materials during the training. Meals are on your own. The deadline to receive a refund on the registration fee is September 20, 2019.
