The Nebraska Diplomats Passport Weekend got underway this evening with 350 people attending the banquet at The Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln.
The Diplomats hosted company representatives from California, Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin.
Governor Pete Ricketts presented the following Diplomats’ annual awards during the Friday evening banquet:
Diplomat of the Year—Suji Park, FDMR, Inc. (Suji’s Cuisine), Omaha
Communities of the Year—City of Bellevue and City of York
Businesses of the Year—Exmark Manufacturing Co., Beatrice, and Ward Laboratories, Inc., Kearney
Power In The Partnership—First National Bank, Omaha
The Ambassador Plenipotentiary Award—Jeff Scherer, Smeal Fire Apparutus, Snyder
