The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) today awarded $505,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to the City of Hartington to help TrailManor Manufacturing Company, LLC, start up a manufacturing facility. The production process includes the design, manufacture, assembly and laminate of light weight recreational travel trailers. The project will create 20 full-time jobs, of which 51 percent will be made available to low- and moderate-income persons.
Eligible nonprofit organizations now have until March 15 to apply for up to as much as $700,000 in grant funding per year in 2012 and 2013 through the state's Microenterprise Lending Program. Administered through the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED), the program is part of the Governor's Talent & Innovation Initiative (T12) passed last May by the Nebraska Legislature.
The Nebraska Department of Economic Development has awarded $1,997,834 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for owner-occupied housing rehabilitation projects to communities in southeastern, south central, southwestern and northeastern Nebraska.
