Public comment period begins for 2016-17 Qualified Action Plan for NE Business Innovation Programs

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) is conducting a public comment period September 28–October 13 for citizens to share input about the proposed 2016-2017 Qualified Action Plan for the State of Nebraska Business Innovation Programs (“Qualified Action Plan”).

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) is conducting a public comment period September 28–October 13 for citizens to share input about the proposed 2016-2017 Qualified Action Plan for the State of Nebraska Business Innovation Programs (“Qualified Action Plan”).

The Business Innovation Programs are authorized under the Business Innovation Act in Nebraska Revised Statutes at §§81-12,152 – 81-12,167. The Qualified Action Plan sets forth the activities eligible for assistance under the Business Innovation Act.

The Department’s emphasis is on the state’s need for innovative development, increased jobs and investment, leveraged funds, and industry support and participation.

Copies of the proposed Qualified Action Plan will be available September 25 on the DED’s Website, or can be requested from Joe Fox at 800-426-6505, 402-471-8604 or , or email: joe.fox@nebraska.gov .
