Public comment period begins September 6 for 2012 Annual Performance Report

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development will conduct a public comment period, September 6-20, 2013, to take remarks of citizens and local government officials regarding the Nebraska Consolidated Plan's Proposed 2012 Annual Performance Report (APR).

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development will conduct a public comment period, September 6-20, 2013, to take remarks of citizens and local government officials regarding the Nebraska Consolidated Plan’s Proposed 2012 Annual Performance Report (APR).

This document allows public review and comment on accomplishments during the 2012 Program Year (July 1, 2012-June 30, 2013), including but not limited to:

  1. The Department’s performance of community and economic development, planning, housing, homeless, and special needs objectives;
  2. Distribution and use of approximately $9 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $3 million in HOME funds, $1 million in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds, $300,000 in Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) funds, $1.6 million in Homeless Shelter Assistance Trust Fund (HSATF) funds, and $5.3 million in Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Funds (NAHTF), including the amounts used for activities benefiting persons of low- and moderate-income; and
  3. The State’s performance in minimizing persons displaced because of its CDBG activities and assistance given to persons displaced because of such activities.
