Public comment sought on proposed 2016-2017 Qualified Action Plan Amendment for Nebraska InternNE Program

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) will conduct a public comment period from April 25- May 9 to take remarks from citizens regarding the proposed Amendment to 2016-2017 Qualified Action Plan for the State of Nebraska InternNE Grant Program.

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) will conduct a public comment period from April 25- May 9 to take remarks from citizens regarding the proposed Amendment to 2016-2017 Qualified Action Plan for the State of Nebraska InternNE Grant Program.

The InternNE Grant Program is authorized in Nebraska Revised Statutes at §§81-1210.01 to §§81-1210.03. The Qualified Action Plan sets forth DED’s priorities and selection criteria for awarding grants, as well as strategies for affirmatively marketing internships to Nebraska students in high schools, colleges, universities and other institutions of higher education in Nebraska.

Copies of the proposed amendment to the Qualified Action Plan will be available on April 20, 2016 on DED’s website: http://staging.neded.org/internne, or can be requested from Rose Baker at 800-426-6505 , 402-471-1559, or rose.baker@nebraska.gov
