March 1, 2017—The Nebraska Department of Economic Development staff will conduct the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application Guideline Workshops to answer questions and share information about the application preparation and submittal process, which includes eligible activities for 2017.

Local units of government that are interested in seeking CDBG funds are encouraged to send staff along with other interested persons involved in the grant-seeking process to the workshop.

All CDBG Application Guideline Workshops are free. Please complete the online registration at:
https://opportunity.nebraska.gov/grow-your-community/training/ by Friday, March 17, 2017.

Workshops will be held on March 28, 2017 from 9:30am – Noon (CST) at Columbus, Lincoln, Kearney, North Platte, Scottsbluff, and Website Streaming. The following categories will be discussed:

  • Comprehensive Development
  • Downtown Revitalization
  • Economic Development
  • Housing
  • Planning
  • Public Works
  • Tourism Development
  • Water/Wastewater

Please note: If there is no one registered at a site, that site will be cancelled. In case of inclement weather, workshops will not be rescheduled and applicants should contact their program representative with questions.
