The application open date has been postponed by one day for the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) Non-Profit Shovel-Ready Grant Program. DED will begin accepting applications for a new funding cycle for the Non-Profit Shovel-Ready Grant Program beginning July 1, 2023, not June 30th as previously announced.

Organizations that were previously awarded funding during the 2021 Shovel-Ready program are ineligible to apply for funds for the same project. Applications for new projects will be accepted.

Applications may be submitted electronically through the DED’s Grant Management System, AmpliFund, beginning at 9 a.m. CT on July 1, 2023. Applications will be considered in the order in which they are received, and grant funds will be distributed among each of Nebraska’s three congressional districts. Applications will not be accepted beyond July 1, 2024.

The 2023 Shovel-Ready application and program requirements can be found on DED’s webpage at: https://opportunity.nebraska.gov/programs/business/shovel-ready-grants/.
