DED will hold a webinar regarding the upcoming 2024 application cycle of the Civic and Community Center Financing Fund (CCCFF) on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CT. During this informational session, DED will provide an overview of the CCCFF program and special policies for the 2024 cycle and will answer questions related to the program. A second informational session will be held in November with details to be provided at a later date.
CCCFF is a state-funded placemaking program that provides grants for planning and construction to build and/or improve community facilities such as libraries, recreation and wellness centers, gathering spaces, convention centers, town squares, and cultural centers. Projects may include the conversion, rehabilitation, or reuse of historic buildings. CCCFF planning grants can be used for preliminary planning efforts related to the development or rehabilitation of eligible projects.
Following legislative action, municipalities seeking a CCCFF grant under the 2024 Application Cycle must partner with a certified Creative District. The Nebraska Arts Council (NAC) certifies Creative Districts. Representatives from NAC and History Nebraska will join DED for the webinar to present information and answer questions about the upcoming application cycle.
