The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) has published a new online resource designed to assist grant-seekers, including individuals, communities and organizations, in their search for funding.

The Foundation Research Directory, found on the DED website, contains detailed information on 148 charitable foundations — both local and national — that provide humanitarian grants. The nearly 50 grant categories represented in the Directory range from Community Development to Children Youth and Family Services and even Historic Preservation and Conservation.

Each grant category is paired with an extensive list of foundations that are known to provide grants related to that category. Contact information, as well as detailed information on the foundation’s purpose and activities, fields of interest and method of submitting an application, is provided for each foundation.

“There are countless organizations in Nebraska and throughout the country that provide financial resources to support humanitarian, community development and other difference-making projects,” said DED Director Dave Rippe. “It is our goal to provide a resource that consolidates some of that information, and in doing so, to assist those positive difference-makers in our state.”

Foundations that wish to be added to the Directory can also submit a request via a form the Foundation Directory homepage.

The Directory is available to everyone, and is free to use. It can be accessed by visiting:
