The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) is now accepting applications for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation application cycle. This grant opportunity is available under the North & South Omaha Recovery Grant Program (NSORG), which was created through Legislative Bill (LB) 531 in 2023 with the intent of building resilient and innovative communities in North and South Omaha.

The application is now open. The last day to apply for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation grant category is Monday, November 20, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. CT.

To be eligible for this grant category, the applicant project must be named in the coordination plan or appendices issued by the Economic Recovery Special Committee of the Legislature, dated January 10, 2023. A copy of the plan and appendices can be found here.

Eligible projects must be located within a qualified census tract (QCT) or an economic redevelopment area (ERA) within the City of Omaha.
