The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) is now accepting applications for the Recovery Housing application cycle. This grant opportunity is available under the North & South Omaha Recovery Grant Program (NSORG), which was created through Legislative Bill (LB) 531 in 2023, with the intent of aiding economic recovery and resilience in North and South Omaha. 

The application is now open. The last day to submit an application for the Recovery Housing grant program is Monday, November 13, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. CT.  

To be eligible for the grant program, the applicant organization must be named in the coordination plan or appendices issued by the Economic Recovery Special Committee of the Legislature, dated January 10th, 2023. A copy of the plan and appendices can be found here

Eligible projects must be located within a qualified census tract (QCT) or an economic redevelopment area (ERA) within the boundaries of the City of Omaha.
