Individuals, communities or organizations in Nebraska should contact their regional representative from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) for information or assistance in matters pertaining to business development or expansion, community development or housing development. Updated contact information for each of DED’s regional business development and housing personnel has recently been released.
DED business development field staff live and work in their respective regions, providing expert one-on-one service to area residents with regard to economic development, business development and business expansion. This could include, for example, assistance identifying financing resources to start, expand or invest in a business; insights on the local and regional business climate; community development resources and other forms of assistance.
DED’s Housing Program Representatives similarly provide technical assistance, planning and financial resources for housing development at the local and regional level. The Department administers a variety of housing programs including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), National Housing Trust Fund (HTF), HOME Investment Partnership Fund, Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund (NAHTF) and the Nebraska Rural Workforce Housing Fund (RWHF).
Visit the DED website at www.opportunity.nebraska.gov for more information on DED’s economic development resources, including business or housing financing programs and related requirements.
