December 3, 2018 (LINCOLN, NEB.) – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts, in accordance with an executive order from President Donald J. Trump, announced that all State buildings will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, in memorial of President George H.W. Bush, who passed away this past Friday. Subsequently, the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) has rescheduled its public hearing for the Proposed 2019 Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund (NAHTF) Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP), originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018. The public hearing is rescheduled for Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. (CST) at DED, located at the State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, Nebraska (Fourth Floor).
The public comment period for the 2019 NAHTF QAP is open until January 2, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. (CST). The QAP can be accessed on the Department’s website at https://opportunity.nebraska.gov/grow-your-community/reports-plans/.
