The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) is opening a second round for the 2022 Rural Workforce Housing Fund (RWHF) program. The application guidelines will be posted by Friday, September 8, 2023. A Letter of Intent will be due by October 19, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. CT. The last day to submit an application will be Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. CT.
Awards from the first application round of the 2022 Rural Workforce Housing Fund Program were announced May 11, 2023. A total of $22,805,000 was awarded to 27 organizations of the approximately $29,785,330 available. The Department is initiating a second application round for the 2022 program year cycle for the remaining amount of approximately $6,980,330.
Eligible applicants are Nebraska based 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6) non-profit housing or related service organizations.
