Nebraska NEXT (Nebraska Employment eXploration & Transition) is the statewide talent attraction event strategy to connect people with purpose, place, and opportunity—part of the larger The Good Life Is Calling campaign.
Our goal is to retain and attract top talent to Nebraska by linking individuals with employers, communities, and resources that help them make the decision to move to Nebraska or stay and make Nebraska home.

Event Experiences
Nebraska NEXT events are designed to be immersive, flexible, and impactful. Ranging from half-day sessions to mulit-day experiences. Potential events are:
- Nebraska Next: helping service members transition into Nebraska careers and communities.
- Collegiate Talent Forum: After class engagements to connect with students and opportunities.
- Elite Weekend – Curated experiences for out-of-state students exploring Nebraska’s industries and quality of life.
- Back to the Good Life – Events for alumni and root-returners ready to explore a return home.
- Live Well, Live Here – Community tours highlighting quality of life, neighborhoods, schools and housing.
Upcoming NEXT Events
Nebraska NEXT: Collegiate Talent Forum
Collegiate Talent Forum is an immersive after-class experience designed to showcase Nebraska’s leadership pipeline, professional opportunities, and community culture. Event features panels, employer roundtables, and informal networking.
Date: Friday, November 14, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Location: University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Willa Cather Dining Center, Red Cloud Room A, 530 N 17th St., Lincoln, NE 68588.
